After opting to bat, Bangalore posted 181 for four in their 20 overs and in their response Delhi finished on 187 for three in 16.4 overs.
Earlier, Bangalore started off well with their skipper Faf du Plessis and Virat Kohli adding 82 for the first wicket. Then Kohli teamed up with Mahipal Lomror to add 55 runs for the third wicket. Kohli made 55 off 46 balls with five boundaries. Lomror carried on further as he added 35 runs for the fourth wicket with Dinesh Karthik. Lomror ended unbeaten on 54 off 29 balls with six boundaries and three sixes. Bangalore ended on 181 for four in their 20 overs. For Delhi the best bowler was Mitchell Marsh (2-21).
In their response Delhi started briskly through their skipper David Warner and Phil Salt. Warner and Salt added 60 for the first wicket. Then Salt put on 59 runs for the second wicket with Marsh. Salt then added a further 52 runs for the third wicket with Rilee Rossouw. Salt finished on 87 off 45 balls with eight boundaries and six sixes. Rossouw completed the chase in the end with an unbeaten 35. Delhi ended on 187 for three in 16.4 overs. None of the Bangalore bowlers created any sort of impact.
