Hyderabad snatch win in dramatic style

Sunrisers Hyderabad snatched a last ball win over Rajasthan Royals as they won by four wickets at the Sawai Mansingh Stadium in Jaipur on Sunday in an IPL 2023 encounter.

After opting to bat, Rajasthan posted 214 for two in their 20 overs and in their response Hyderabad finished on 217 for six in their 20 overs.

Earlier, Rajasthan started off well with a 54 run opening wicket stand between Yashasvi Jasiwal and Jos Buttler. After Jaiswal fell, Buttler then teamed up with skipper Sanju Samson to add 138 runs for the second wicket. Buttler finished on 95 off 59 balls with 10 boundaries and four sixes. Samson finished unbeaten on 66 off 38 balls with four boundaries and five sixes. Rajasthan finished on 214 for two in their 20 overs.

In their response Hyderabad started well with their openers Anmolpreet Singh and Abhishek Sharma adding 51 for the first wicket. Later, Sharma added 65 runs for the second wicket with Rahul Tripathi. Sharma finished on 55 off 34 balls with five boundaries and two sixes. Tripathi made 47 off 29 balls with two boundaries and three sixes. Then Heinrich Klaasen made 26 off 12 balls with two boundaries and two sixes. Towards the end Glenn Phillips made a brisk 25 off seven balls with one boundary and three sixes. In the end Abdul Samad struck a six off the last ball to seal the win. Before that Sandeep Sharma bowled a no-ball off the last ball which resulted in a free hit. In the end Hyderabad finished on 217 for six in their 20 overs. For Rajasthan the best bowler was Yuzvendra Chahal (4-29).
