In the first leg of the EFL Cup semifinals, Manchester United defeats Nottingham Forest 3-0.
At the City Ground, Manchester United prevailed 3-0 over Nottingham Forest to lead the EFL Cup semifinal. There, Marcus Rashford continued his incredible scoring spree. United took the lead six minutes into the first half of the semi-final when Rashford scored spectacularly on his own.
Wout Weghorst scored his first goal for the team just before halftime, and Bruno Fernandes scored one minute later to give Erik ten Hag's team a commanding lead heading into the rematch at Old Trafford seven days later for the second leg.
Rashford, one of England's best players right now, has scored ten goals in as many games since returning from the World Cup. After scoring his sixth goal in this competition alone, he now leads the list of top scorers.
